Staff Process EngineerLunar is searching for an experienced Staff Manufacturing Engineer to develop our manufacturing processes and equipment. This person will be responsible for taking ownership of a specific Lunar product and production line, working cross-functionally to bring them into production. We’re a fast-growing, global company building the world’s best clean energy products to electrify all homes and connect communities to form clean, resilient virtual power plants.On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…<ul><li>Work alongside Operations and Engineering teams to develop new products from the requirements stage all the way through full production ramp</li><li>Design the processes for assembling our products and work with equipment vendors, integrators, and contract manufacturers</li><li>Travel to equipment vendors to audit their capabilities and buyoff on equipment before shipment (FAT)</li><li>Travel to contract manufacturers to setup processes, perform SATs with equipment vendors, and solve issues that come up during and after production ramp</li><li>Collaborate with the Supplier Quality and Global Supply Management teams to ensure successful ramp for capacity, quality, and cost through identification of process  improvements and root cause analyses</li><li>Work closely with our manufacturing test organization to integrate and deploy world class test equipment and data flows into manufacturing lines at our partner sites</li><li>Travel required, estimated at 20% average with heavier demands during equipment buy-off and production ramp</li><li>Develop process documentation (process flows, PFMEAs, cycle time charts, work instruction etc.) to share both internally and externally</li><li>Utilize SPC to perform DOEs and analyze data in JMP or other statistical software</li></ul>Desired Skills:<ul><li>5+ years in a manufacturing and prototyping environment developing/improving processes, running prototype builds, specifying equipment, and overseeing equipment rollout and buyoff</li><li>Ability to manage product development work with a focus on prototyping efforts</li><li>Proven track record of developing and launching production processes with a strong OEE</li><li>BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial); MS in Engineering preferred</li><li>Familiarity with statistical process control and analysis of quality issues</li><li>Experience with industrial automation (Robot/PLC programming is a plus)</li><li>Strong project management experience and an eye for detail and organization</li></ul>Benefits:We’re dedicated to creating a remarkable employee experience.
