AECOM is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work out of our MIssissauga, ON. As an industry leader in program management and construction management for large capital programs, AECOM oversees activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling and cost control, to design, construction and commissioning.  From concept through completion, we provide necessary technical and administrative services to help our clients meet their program objectives. We act as an extension of our clients’ staff, protecting their interests as our own.Major Responsibilities for Junior Quantity Surveyor are as follows:<ul><li>General Quantity Surveying</li><li>Conduct Quantity take-offs and measurements for Architectural/Civil/Structural works and abstracting quantities to establishing standard Bill of Quantities.</li><li>General assistance work related to day to day works of Quantity Surveying Office. </li><li>Post Contract Quantity Surveying when required, includes progress monitoring and reporting on interim payment applications, assisting in assessment of change orders etc.</li><li>Contacting suppliers and sub trades for enquiries related to specifications and trade quotations.</li><li>Assisting on carrying out research related to construction market conditions throughout Canada, including analysis of official published data as well as engaging with the market to obtain up to date rates for all construction products.</li><li>Identifying opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates and products, and administering procedures, templates and products. </li><li>Assisting on Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.</li><li>Assisting Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.</li><li>Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits.</li></ul>
