AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level Environmental Planner (Environmental Planner III) professional to join our Environmental Planning team in the western US. We serve numerous Department of Defense clients, delivering a variety of environmental management, planning, and infrastructure projects. We specialize in high-visibility complex projects that provide our senior staff with opportunities to grow.  In this role, you will coordinate project teams to prepare environmental analysis and permitting documents with a particular focus on our growing line of work with U.S. Department of Defense clients.The responsibilities of this role would include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Work with clients to develop solutions to achieve their goals. </li><li>Deputy Project management, including coordination with clients, technical staff, and subconsultants.</li><li>Serve as a Deputy Project Manager on mid-size and large environmental compliance projects, particularly high-profile Department of Defense infrastructure and planning projects and similar projects for other federal clients as needed.</li><li>Oversee the work of early career staff and mentor others.</li><li>Contribute to marketing and business development, preparation of proposals, and formulating proposal cost estimates.</li><li>Attend and/or present at project and public meetings and assist in preparing meeting materials and compiling meeting results, including PowerPoint presentations, and other materials.</li><li>Participate in professional associations/events relevant to the industry.</li><li>Interpret and apply applicable government codes, ordinances, and regulations.</li><li>Manage and prepare both federal and state environmental documents as well as managing permitting activities for these projects.</li></ul>About AECOM’s Environment Business Line Join AECOM to be part of an expert global team who is connected through a well-developed, worldwide, internal technical practice network through which you can learn from and brainstorm with the best in the world.
