Join us. Job DescriptionAECOM Buildings + Places Canada in Markham is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join our team, where you'll play a major role in the electrical design for projects that shape how communities live, move, and thrive—from transit and civic buildings to commercial, education and water/wastewater facilities. Your RoleAs an electrical engineer on our Buildings + Places team, you will:<ul><li>Develop various types of reports  including schematic design, design development, building assessment, and design build/assist scope of work documents</li><li>Prepare electrical drawings and specification</li><li>Implement design concept through the preparation and production of drawings to detail lighting, power, fire alarm, and specialty low voltage systems rough-ins (i.e. telecomm., intrusion control, security, CCTV, door access controls, etc.)</li><li>Provide technical and administrative support through all phases of the project</li><li>Conduct necessary research to gather industry, field, and project specific data</li><li>Ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and standards</li><li>Integrate advanced tools and standards—leverage SKM, ETAP, Revit, AutoCAD, and ensure designs meet OESC, OBC, IEEE, NFPA, LEED, Net Zero guidelines</li><li>Collaborate with other disciplines architecture, mechanical, structural, urban design, sustainability to deliver integrated solutions</li><li>Provide client and construction support—serve as technical advisor, review submittals, respond to RFIs, support commissioning, and ensure timely delivery</li><li>Respond to contractors technical queries and attending site meetings as well as performing site reviews complete with reports</li><li>Review shop drawing to ensure their compliance with the project requirement</li><li>Issue SI and CCN to the construction team to mitigate technical issues</li><li>Review Contractor`s change quotation and progress billing reports</li></ul>
