In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality gaskets used in critical infrastructure projects. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help ensure reliable products that make a difference in communities.</p><p>Splicing involves using heated molds to join the ends of pre-cut rubber strips to form circular gaskets.</p><p></p><p>Location: 77 Carlingview Drive, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9W 5E6</p><p>Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 3:00pm</p><p>Starting Salary: $24.24/hour</p><p></p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p>Maintain a safe and clean work area before starting tasks</p></li><li><p>Ensure mold temperature is correctly set before splicing</p></li><li><p>Prepare strips for splicing (dipping, sanding, heating, cleaning ends)</p></li><li><p>Verify rubber strips for straight cuts and clean ends</p></li><li><p>Load tape roll into machine and check quality</p></li><li><p>Operate mold and monitor curing process</p></li><li><p>Inspect gaskets for defects (cracks, lumps, pinholes)</p></li><li><p>Inject silicone and check for leaks</p></li><li><p>Record production data accurately</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals</p></li><li><p>Perform additional duties as required</p></li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Requirements</h2><ul><li><p>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</p></li><li><p>Ability to read, write, and communicate in English</p></li><li><p>Willingness to learn and operate measuring tools (training provided)</p></li><li><p>Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards</p></li><li><p>Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment</p></li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Benefits</h2><ul><li><p>Inclusive team culture that values respect and collaboration</p></li><li><p>Life Insurance</p></li><li><p>Extended Health, Dental, and Vision Care</p></li><li><p>Retirement Savings Plan</p></li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Working Conditions</h2><p>Plant environment with light physical activity (lifting up to 15 lbs, standing, walking).
