Job Description What you’ll bring to MKO: Expert Project Oversight and Delivery <ul><li>Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, including managing project profitability. </li><li>Provide regular project updates to the General Environmental team Project Director (Eoin O’Sullivan) and clients, and report directly on project performance. </li><li>Manage and oversee projects run by our General Environmental team day-to-day, including handling fee agreements, invoicing, and consistently delivering on client expectations.</li><li>Skillfully prioritise projects while balancing client expectations, available staff resources, and project deadlines, thriving in a busy work environment.</li></ul>Strategic leadership <ul><li>Oversee, guide and manage junior team members and sub-consultants to deliver project requirements.</li><li>Engage effectively with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.</li><li>Demonstrate excellent project management skills, be well-organised with meticulous attention to detail, and manage a varied and full workload while meeting project deadlines.</li></ul>Driving Business Development <ul><li>Manage and implement business development initiatives for team.</li><li>Win new work by preparing and overseeing the preparation of fee proposals, identifying opportunities in the marketplace and ensuring a steady work flow.</li></ul>  What we’re looking for in you We are seeking a dedicated professional with a minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in a similar role or function: <ul><li>A third-level qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related fields that give the candidate the necessary skills to complete role.</li><li>Experience of managing and contributing to Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs).  </li><li>Broad experience on medium to large-scale projects at the EIAR/Planning/Construction stage.</li><li>Technical knowledge: Knowledge of civil engineering, construction management, ecology, hydrology/hydrogeology, noise, air, traffic, geotechnical, and other EIAR subject areas, and the interrelationships between them.</li><li>Familiarity and understanding of the Irish planning system, environmental, and waste management legislation.</li><li>Excellent report writing and technical reviewing skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Experience of engaging with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.</li><li>A full clean driving licence.</li></ul>Prospective candidates will be expected to have excellent project management skills be well organised with meticulous attention to detail while also being able to manage a varied and full workload.
