Job purpose	 Maintenance &amp;Facilities managers will be responsible for the management of services and facilities. They will be required to ensure that the organization has a safe and secure working environment for its employees.Prime focus area of the facilities manager will be to use best business practices to improve efficiency thereby reducing operating costs. <ul><li>Activities that the position needs to supervise, manage and control are:</li><li>Supervising a team of maintenance and repair personnel.</li><li>Developing and implementing maintenance strategies and procedures.</li><li>Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.</li><li>Managing budgets and controlling maintenance costs.</li><li>Monitoring the efficiency and lifespan of equipment</li><li>Building (external building, conference rooms, cabin, work areas, cubicles etc), grounds and garden maintenance </li><li> Assess the current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry and other essential facilities and ensure maintenance of all HVAC systems and electrical systems.</li><li>Maintenance of all safety equipment and support in the safety audits to ensure a safe working environment</li><li>Maintenance of all utilities, communications infrastructure, space management, waste treatment systems.</li><li>Conducting energy audits and preparing energy conservation reports.</li><li>Developing and managing energy conservation programs.</li><li>Analyzing energy usage data to identify opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Coordinating with facility team to implement energy-efficient technologies.</li><li>Monitoring utility bills and verifying energy savings.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of the condition of the equipment and other systems in the building.</li><li>Ensure Mandatory &amp; Government regulatory requirements are in place &amp; current</li><li>Ensure Energy calculation for all facility area</li><li>Procurement of facility related items and vendor contract management Create a schedule of regular evaluation of the facilities.</li><li>Develop a system for cleaning, repair and maintenance of facilities </li><li>Ensure the safety of the building or establishment from fire, flood and other hazards.</li><li>Build and maintain profitable and long-term relationships with vendors</li><li>Report on Environment, health and safety related issues on the available communication mediums. </li><li>Ensure safety audits completion on time and vigilant to safety at workplace for safe working environment.</li><li>Leading GSSF element by implementing GSSF procedures and ensure sustainability of the elements assigned. </li><li>Safety Incident investigation &amp; Closing responsibility with 8D     </li><li></ul><ul><li>Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, as a minimum a National degree with 8 or more years of experience</li><li>Experience with ISO14001/ISO45001 or other accredited standards.</li><li>Experience with ISO50001 and Internal/Lead Auditor in Energy Management or ISO 14064 Serios    experience.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of the Occupational Health &amp; Safety Act</li><li>Computer literate – MS Office and CMMS software</li><li>Good communication skill</li></ul>Internal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement Carefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
