If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.</div></div><p>As the Manager of the <em>Cloud</em> Backend Platform, you will lead a team responsible for building the <em>cloud</em> services that power Lucid’s next-generation electric vehicles. Lucid vehicles generate massive volumes of onboard data every day. Your team will design the distributed <em>systems</em> and software platforms that securely process, analyze, and utilize this data to enhance <em>vehicle</em> safety, support collision avoidance, improve connectivity with external devices and <em>cloud</em> services, and optimize overall <em>vehicle</em> performance.</p><p>In this leadership role, you will leverage your expertise in computer science fundamentals, distributed <em>systems</em>, microservices <em>architecture</em>, and <em>cloud</em> technologies. You will guide the design, development, deployment, and evolution of backend services and platforms using technologies such as Golang, C/C++, Python, <em>Docker</em>, <em>Kubernetes</em>, TCP/UDP, Kafka/MQTT, and REST APIs.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>· Lead the end-to-end conceptualization, design, development, and enhancement of <em>cloud</em>-based microservice applications.</p><p>· Architect scalable, resilient <em>cloud</em> applications that meet high performance and reliability standards.</p><p>· Design and optimize microservices for <em>cloud</em> environments with strong attention to throughput, latency, and resource efficiency.</p><p>· Apply deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and <em>system design</em> to drive technical excellence.</p><p>· Conduct and lead design reviews and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.</p><p>· Plan, manage, and deliver complex <em>cloud</em> software projects from inception to deployment.</p><p>· Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of containerized applications and <em>cloud</em> deployments (e.g., <em>Docker</em>, <em>Kubernetes</em>).</p><p>· Define and implement <em>cloud</em> strategies, including technology selection and service <em>architecture</em>.</p><p>· Collaborate cross-functionally with development, data engineering, and quality assurance teams to align <em>cloud</em> initiatives with Lucid’s business goals.</p><p>· Establish and refine engineering processes, promote best practices, and drive team growth and effectiveness.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong></p><p><strong>Technical Skills</strong></p><p>· Strong proficiency in Go (Golang); experience with C/C++ and Python.</p><p>· Expertise in designing and building microservices and distributed <em>systems</em>.</p><p>· Hands-on experience with <em>Docker</em>, <em>Kubernetes</em>, and <em>container</em> orchestration.</p><p>· Solid understanding of <em>networking</em> protocols, including TCP/UDP.</p><p>· Experience with streaming and messaging <em>systems</em> such as Kafka, MQTT, or similar technologies.</p><p>· Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.</p><p>· Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and <em>system design</em>.</p><p>· Strong understanding of <em>cloud</em> platforms (<em>AWS</em>, GCP, Azure, or equivalent) and <em>cloud</em>-native architectures.</p><p>· Experience with <em>CI/CD</em> pipelines, <em>cloud</em> monitoring, and observability tools.</p><p><strong>Leadership &amp; Management Skills</strong></p><p>· Proven experience leading software engineering teams and managing large-scale <em>cloud</em> projects.</p><p>· Ability to set technical direction, mentor engineers, and enforce high engineering standards.</p><p>· Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.</p><p>· Demonstrated ability to drive software development processes and guide teams toward successful delivery.</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><p>· Experience with <em>vehicle</em> connectivity, IoT <em>systems</em>, or high-data-volume environments.</p><p>· Background in real-time data processing, telemetry, or edge-to-<em>cloud</em> architectures.</p><p>· Familiarity with <em>security</em> best practices for <em>cloud</em> and distributed <em>systems</em></p><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
