This role will support our Finishing, Tooling, and Compaction teams by creating and maintaining accurate technical drawings for tools, finished parts, and part assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in drafting principles, experience with SolidWorks and Fusion/AutoCAD, and the ability to interpret and produce precise engineering drawings.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Collaborate closely with tooling, compaction, and finishing teams to develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, model files suitable for fabrication, customer review and internal process use.</li><li>Draft and revise technical model &amp; drawings for tools, components, assemblies, and finished parts.</li><li>Design fixturing and tooling solutions to hold parts securely during machining, assembly, and finishing operations.</li><li>Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions to create accurate representations.</li><li>Ensure drawings comply with company standards and industry best practices.</li><li>Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for easy retrieval and revision tracking.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and design improvements.</li><li>Support engineering change processes and update drawings accordingly.</li><li>Perform basic FEA or mapping to validate structural integrity and optimize designs (preferred but not required).</li></ul>What we are looking for<ul><li>Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.</li><li>Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion, AutoCAD and/or similar CAD software.</li><li>Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, tolerances, and dimensioning.</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend complex engineering drawings and specifications.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>Must be a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (LPR)</li></ul>Nice to have<ul><li>Ideal candidate would also design fixturing and tooling solutions to support manufacturing processes and may assist with basic finite element analysis (FEA) to validate designs.</li><li>Experience with GD&amp;T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).</li><li>Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to tooling, compaction, machining operations, fixturing, finishing assemblies, and packaging.</li><li>Knowledge of CAM software or CNC programming is a plus, but training will be provided.</li></ul>Our pay and benefits <ul><li>Base salary range: $60,000 - $100,000 based on experience, education, and capabilities</li><li>Equity position in Niron via stock option grant</li><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Mental healthcare</li><li>401k plan with company match</li><li>Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays</li><li>Experience in a fun, high-performing, manufacturing environment</li></ul>
