Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and be excellent at multi-tasking. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong> </p><ul><li>Create and modify 3D CAD models for body-in-white (BIW) structures and closures (doors, hoods, tailgates).</li><li>Ensure models meet packaging, styling, and functional requirements.</li><li>Apply design standards, GD&amp;T (Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing), and best practices.</li><li>Manage interfaces between body structures and other systems.</li><li>Incorporate manufacturing feasibility requirements at component and system level.</li><li>Maintain version control and compliance with company standards.</li><li>Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.</li><li>Support engineering release and change management activities.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong> </p><ul><li>3+ years experience in automotive Body Structures or Closures systems development at OEM or supplier desired </li><li>Proficient with CATIA V5/V6 or 3DX.</li><li>Hands on experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter, ENOVIA or similar.</li><li>Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in designs.</li><li>Understanding of common manufacturing process utilized for Body Structures &amp; Closures components.</li><li>Good knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and materials.</li><li>Experience in full life cycle development from concept to prototype to full production is preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Education:</strong> </p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent from ABET accredited institution or equivalent body structures automotive experience </li></ul><p>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
