AECOM is currently seeking a CAD Designer - Highways and Roads, based in our Sudbury, ON, Canada office.This is a full-time role expected to begin as soon as possible.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Design and draft highway rehabilitation projects using 2D AutoCAD software.</li><li>Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings, including plans, profiles, cross-sections, geometrics, drainage, utilities, signing, pavement markings, detours, and construction staging.</li><li>Prepare design quantities and cost estimates and provide technical support during tendering and construction.</li><li>Undertake design tasks under the supervision of a project manager or senior team member.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, environmental planners, technologists, and administrative staff.</li><li>Monitor project plans and schedules.</li><li>Participate in meetings with internal staff, subconsultants, and clients.</li><li>Document meeting decisions and follow up on action items.</li><li>Contribute to technical reports and studies.</li><li>Collect and analyze data.</li><li>Commit to self-development and ongoing professional growth.</li></ul>
