The Project Manager - Buried Networks is responsible for managing the successful delivery of buried heat network infrastructure projects in Bristol. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager - Buried Networks, the role requires strong leadership and collaboration with contractors and internal teams to ensure that projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.As the Client Representative, the Project Manager will attend CDM meetings, oversee construction activities, and enforce compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. The role will actively contribute to progress reporting, risk management, and the implementation of health &amp; safety best practices.The ideal candidate will have a background in construction project management, preferably in buried utilities or district heating, and an understanding of working within a matrix organization. This role also involves supporting pre-construction activities, procurement processes, and contractor performance evaluations.Key Responsibilities / Duties<ul><li>Project Management &amp; Delivery</li><li>Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring smooth delivery from procurement TO commissioning and handover</li><li>Attend CDM meetings and act as the Client Representative in all construction meetings</li><li>Oversee project scheduling, ensuring alignment with corporate and client expectations</li><li>Ensure contractor obligations under NEC and other contractual frameworks are met, enforcing compliance and addressing deviations</li><li>Support tendering and procurement processes by developing ITT documents and evaluating contractor submissions</li><li>Lead pre-construction activities, including surveys, trial holes, and intrusive works</li><li>Identify and manage project risks using a robust risk matrix to drive decision-making</li><li>Maintain project documentation, ensuring all quality assurance records (e.g., weld logs, backfill schedules, alarm wire testing) are properly controlled</li></ul>Health, Safety &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Reinforce robust management of health and safety in accordance with industry best practices</li><li>Ensure full compliance with CDM, HASAW, NRSWA, EAW, and other relevant regulations</li><li>Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections to promote a proactive safety culture</li><li>Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards</li></ul>
