Click the apply button to send your application.You will join our Geo Structures department: As our new Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering challenging ground engineering projects that support the construction of new railways, ports, renewable energy facilities, highways, and high-quality new buildings. We also advise clients on the impact of new work on both natural and man-made environments, ensuring projects proceed sustainably and safely. Our team includes experts in the field who will guide and support your career development, enhancing the skills you bring to Geostructures.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:<ul><li>Providing advice and design to a multi-disciplinary project team taking on technical geotechnical delivery for projects or sections of large infrastructure schemes.</li><li>Planning and conducting analysis of geotechnical structures using various proprietary tools.</li><li>Guiding less experienced engineers to deliver analysis and design.</li><li>Providing new ideas or approaches to ground engineering challenges.</li><li>Carrying out research and development of new ideas and products to enable Ramboll to provide sustainable solutions for society.</li><li>Assist in marketing our skills to identify and secure exciting new projects and contracts that build on our existing industry and market relationships.</li></ul>As a member of our team, you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in tunnel engineering, contributing to world-renowned projects like the Femernbælt, Fehmarnsund, and Dreilinden IMT tunnel projects, among others. For this role, we believe your starting point is:<ul><li>A minimum of 6 years of working experience.</li><li>A good quality BEng degree with substantial geotechnical engineering or engineering geology content.</li><li>A master’s degree or higher focusing on geotechnical engineering or engineering geology would be beneficial.</li><li>Proven ability to conduct complex analyses of retaining structures and complex foundations.</li><li>Experience in rock engineering and/or geo-seismic engineering would be advantageous.</li><li>Knowledge and demonstrable experience in using Python to solve technical problems.</li><li>Written and oral communication skills in Danish are beneficial but not essential for this role.</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills in English.</li><li>A solid understanding of commercial controls needed to deliver work in a manner that aligns with our business objectives.</li></ul>Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include the ability to investigate new ideas rather than relying on traditional methods; strong oral communication skills to interact with colleagues of varied backgrounds and experience levels, both in person and online; and the ability to critically assess your work and that of others to ensure accuracy and consistency with our high standards.Ready to join us?
