As a lead engineer, you will be working cross-functionally to coordinate teams of mechanical, electrical, automation, optical, software, and system engineers to improve and deploy these technologies company-wide. A lead engineer will be expected to mentor other engineers and oversee several projects to completion. </span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">This position will work out of our Fremont location. </span></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead multi-functional teams in the development of high-throughput, micron-precision laser systems for the ablative modification of diamond for semiconductor applications.</li><li>Work with the leadership team to understand business goals and develop corresponding system designs to meet these critical requirements.</li><li>Lead key projects focused on equipment and automation improvements to support scalable manufacturing.</li><li>Manage prioritization, resource allocation, and procurement to ensure delivery within scope and on time.</li><li>Mentor team members on best practices for developing and releasing systems and improvements into production environments.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Master’s Degree in Materials Science, Applied Physics (materials, laser, or optics focus), or Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.</li><li>Experience with leading technical teams working on complex system design and development. </li><li>Expertise with applying optical fundamentals, laser materials processing, and resolving technical problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li><li>Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new environments, tools, and workflows.</li><li>Experience with project management and equipment deployment.</li></ul><br><div>Diamond Foundry believes in supporting our employees from the workplace to their personal and home life.
