This team is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD systems, shared services and tools that power our development and production environments.**This is a hybrid position with the expectation that you will be onsite in NYC 2-3 days a week.**What You'll Do:<ul><li>Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that improve Via’s platform.</li><li>Own backend features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to deployment and maintenance.</li><li>Define infrastructure and standards for engineering teams across the company.</li><li>Research and recommend new technologies for our engineering teams.</li><li>Develop a deep understanding of the software and architecture at Via.</li><li>Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues to ensure system uptime and performance.</li><li>Work closely with partner teams across the company to enable success.</li></ul>Who You Are:<ul><li>5+ years of experience building robust backend or full-stack software systems.</li><li>Expertise in developing and maintaining APIs, distributed systems, and efficient database architectures.</li><li>Familiar with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).</li><li>Skilled in system design, debugging, and performance optimization.</li><li>Commitment to a collaborative distributed environment imbued with professionalism, integrity, passion, and accountability.</li></ul>Compensation and Benefits:<ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
