The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing incoming shipments of products, verifying quantities and quality, and preparing products for storage in our warehouse. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentWhat we offer you: <ul><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) </li><li>Annual Misfits grocery box credit of $1200 paid in weekly installments</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid vacation time</li><li>Paid holidays </li><li>Paid sick days</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Pay Rate: $19/hr. </li><li>Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm</li></ul>What you’ll be doing:<ul><li>Receive incoming shipments of products, including pallets and containers, and verify quantities and condition of products against shipping documents and purchase orders.</li><li>Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure they meet company standards for freshness, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements, and report any discrepancies or issues to warehouse supervisors.</li><li>Accurately record receipt of products in inventory management systems (IMS) or warehouse management systems (WMS) based on established procedures and storage guidelines.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of received shipments, including packing slips, bills of lading, and other documentation, and ensure all paperwork is properly filed and archived for future reference.</li><li>Maintain communication with the merchandising team about receiving discrepancies, appointment scheduling, and appointment statuses.</li><li>Communicate effectively with warehouse team members, truck drivers, and suppliers to coordinate receiving activities, resolve any issues or discrepancies, and ensure timely processing of incoming shipments.</li><li>Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines for receiving and handling of products, including proper lifting techniques, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with OSHA regulations.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, including proper storage of equipment, removal of packaging materials, and disposal of waste in accordance with company policies and procedures.</li></ul>What you have:<ul><li>Authorized to work in the United States.</li><li>Able to work in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees).</li><li>Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role preferred.</li><li>Strong data entry and analysis skills using Google Sheets.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems (IMS) or warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.</li></ul>Nice for you to have:<ul><li>HS Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)</li><li>Experience working in a food based environment</li></ul>Please see here for Misfits Market's <a href="https://www.misfitsmarket.com/careers-privacy">Job Applicant Privacy Notice</a>.
