The role will involve carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance activities to our UK Solar PV portfolio. Reporting to the O&amp;M manager and working closely with the wider O&amp;M team, you will be responsible for day to day operations of our operating assets in the Cornwall region.This role would suit someone with sound technical knowledge, a passion for renewable energy, a desire to be part of a tight knit team whilst also being able to work independently. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance activities and manage a preventative maintenance programme to ensure installations are working at peak performance</li><li>Identify/locate and respond to fault situations</li><li>Understand the contract for each site to enable effective management</li><li>Plant monitoring and analysis (support to monitoring team)</li><li>Compliance with legislation, policies and H&amp;S</li><li>Carry out Due Diligence Site and Paperwork Inspections</li><li>Stock management</li><li>Assist with system upgrade works</li><li>Undertake appropriate training</li><li>Supervision and management of contractors as necessary</li><li>Perform weekend on call duties on a rota basis (1 in 4 weekends)</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>Prospective candidates should be educated to degree level in an engineering field or hold Electrical installation certificate to level 3 City &amp; Guilds or NVQ equivalent or an equivalent electronics qualification</li><li>BS7671 wiring regulations to 18th Edition and a sound working knowledge of them</li><li>City &amp; Guilds inspection and test certificate to level 3 (desirable)</li><li>An experienced professional in the electricity industry with demonstratable experience and a track record of successfully managing the performance of operational assets</li><li>A good technical knowledge of electricity generation and solar park technology in particular</li><li>Competent when dealing with quality standards, best practise procedures, technical specifications and regulatory</li><li>A self-starter with a passion for the renewable energy industry, desire for success and the willingness to challenge the status quo in order to maximise assets’ ROI safely following best practise</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, able to build rapport quickly and develop long-term relationships with all stakeholder groups.
