We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.</p><h2>Overview</h2><p>As an Event Manager in Joby’s fast-paced environment, you will be primarily responsible for providing event, logistics and project management for the Marketing &amp; Communications team. The ideal candidate is extremely detailed oriented, proactive, collaborative, a strong communicator, and highly organized. The key to your success is the ability to adapt to ever-changing conditions and roll-up your sleeves when needed.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Planning and executing marketing events (e.g. trade shows, live demonstrations, corporate dinners, etc.)</li> <li>Coordinate logistics, including shipping, registration, attendee tracking, marketing assets</li> <li>Procure and manage vendor services, including contract negotiations</li> <li>Provide onsite support</li> <li>Collaborate with executive teams to ensure internal and external participants at event are prepared </li> <li>Assist team as necessary in hotel and travel arrangements (e.g. hotel blocks)</li> <li>Assist executive assistants with meeting planning during event as necessary</li> <li>Lead our events team in the planning and execution of world-class events</li> <li>Manage schedule, budget, and prioritisation of assets across a range of consumer and stakeholder events, globally.</li> <li>Maintain active horizon planning for events across a 12 to 24 month timeframe, regularly engaging with Joby leadership team to support prioritization</li> <li>Work with wider creative team to deliver world-class activations, concepts and experiences that effectively represent the Joby brand</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement in our events, ensuring most efficient use of resources and capturing best practice</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience </li> <li>Minimum 4+ years of events management experience</li> <li>Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects independently</li> <li>Excellent communication skills with ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Ability to travel up to 50% of the time</li> <li>In possession of a current passport to support international travel</li> <li>Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail</li> <li>Positive attitude and works well with others</li> <li>Proven ability to work in a fast paced, often changing environment with efficiency and accuracy</li> <li>Ability to take initiative and ownership over sometimes ambiguous tasks and situations with little oversight</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Experience with planning both domestic and international events</li> <li>Tech or start-up experience </li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $87,800 - $150,700/year.
