You will play a critical, hands-on role serving as the analytical engine for QuantumScape’s strategic decision-making. You will conduct deep dives into competitive dynamics, develop sophisticated financial models and business cases for key partnerships, and translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights that directly influence corporate direction and investment priorities. What You’ll do: <ul><li>Analytical Ownership: Own and develop complex financial models, including market sizing, cost analysis, and scenario planning for new business ventures.</li><li>Competitive Intelligence: Conduct rigorous, detailed analysis of the competitive landscape, tracking technology advancements, market share shifts, and strategic moves by key players.</li><li>Presentation and Reporting: Prepare and refine high-quality presentation materials and reports for the company’s executive leadership, Board, and internal stakeholders on critical strategic topics.</li><li>Due Diligence Support: Provide analytical support for M&amp;A, joint venture, and strategic partnership evaluations, including valuation modeling and synergy assessment.</li><li>Data Translation: Translate raw data, technical reports, and market research into clear, synthesized takeaways and strategic recommendations for senior management.</li></ul> Skills You’ll Need: <ul><li>Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a highly analytical role within a technology or industrial company.</li><li>Technical Skillset: Expert proficiency in financial modeling (Excel) and developing highly polished, executive-level presentations (PowerPoint/Google Slides).</li><li>Mindset: Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with an uncompromising attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. </li></ul> Nice to have: <ul><li>Experience in the energy storage, automotive, or materials science sectors.</li><li>Experience in a technology development or manufacturing environment (e.g., semiconductors, advanced materials, or batteries).</li></ul> ONSITE: This position is required to work onsite 5 days per week to meet the minimum essential duties and requirements of this position.  As an on-site R&amp;D and manufacturing operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is essential to building authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration.  Compensation &amp; Benefits: Expected salary range for this role is from $107,000 to $163,200, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan.
