Reporting directly to the CIO, this role is responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and service delivery of Landis+Gyr’s business applications portfolio, including cloud and SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, and key business process tools. You will lead a team and work closely with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Operations, and Product Management to ensure business applications effectively support operational excellence, digital transformation, and future scalability. Key Responsibilities<ul style="text-align:justify;"><li>Lead and develop the IT Business Applications team across EMEA, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Define and execute the applications strategy, ensuring alignment with global IT architecture and business priorities.</li><li>Oversee the design, development, and support of business applications, ensuring system performance, usability, and availability in line with SLAs.</li><li>Manage relationships with software vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.</li><li>Collaborate with business leaders to analyze requirements, assess feasibility, and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.</li><li>Lead architecture and design discussions, driving simplification and optimization of the application landscape.</li><li>Ensure compliance with IT security, data protection, and governance standards, including ITIL and ITGC requirements.</li><li>Manage the business applications budget, ensuring cost transparency and value delivery.</li><li>Drive adoption of modern cloud, mobile, and collaboration technologies to support Landis+Gyr’s digital transformation.</li><li>Act as a member of the EMEA Architecture Board and key advisor for application innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul> Profile<ul><li>Degree in Business IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration (or equivalent qualification).</li><li>7+ years of experience in managing and developing IT business applications in international organizations.</li><li>Proven track record in leading teams, managing service operations, and delivering complex IT projects across multiple business areas.</li><li>Strong experience with cloud technologies, SaaS platforms, ITIL, and project management (IPMA or equivalent).</li><li>Sound knowledge of business process management and cross-functional collaboration.</li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.</li><li>Fluent in English (German or another European language is an advantage).</li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate business needs into technical roadmaps. #LI-SG1</li></ul>  We value and encourage diversity in our team.
