The Senior Accountant will take on a leadership role within the accounting team, contributing to all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as budget and forecasts preparation. You will also be responsible for improving systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy of accounting information by researching account issues for compliance and by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to mentor junior staff, ensuring the highest level of financial reporting and control.Key Responsibilities:· Manage accounting processes in compliance with US GAAP, with a focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition.· Perform reconciliations and support month-end close activities.· Collaborate closely with Sales, Legal and Finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.· Prepare and review financial reports with attention to detail and timeliness.· Support audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.Qualifications &amp; Skills:· Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ideally ASC 606.· Proven analytical skills for reconciliations and month-end close.· Ability to work effectively across functions (Sales, Legal, Finance).· Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.· German language preferred as an additional requirement.· Prior experience in complex projects and accounting environments is an advantage.#LI-HybridJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
