And that’s where you come in.Job Description:<ul><li>Leading, coaching and developing the UK HR Operations team, to deliver HR Shared Services (employee administration, HRMI, HRIS, Travel &amp; Expenses and Contingent Labour administration), HR Advisory Services, Payroll and Pensions process and Compensation &amp; Benefits (aligned to Global C&amp;B delivery)</li><li>Alignment of governance and control processes with Global HRSS.</li><li>Management of local HR systems.</li><li>Delivery of HR Operational excellence through efficient, compliant, and employee-centric services that enhance business performance and support strategic HR objectives.</li><li>Provide leadership, development and coaching to a team of HR professionals delivering HR Operations to the UK businesses and functions, aligned to Global HRSS, Global C&amp;B and Global Labour Relations</li><li>Develop, communicate and monitor KPI’s/SLA’s across all HR Operations activities, holding direct reports accountable for delivery and improvements where necessary.</li><li>Management of £multi-million budget.</li><li>Responsible for management of all local HR systems (including Workday, Travel, Expenses, SAP HR, and Bodet), continuously seeking improvement opportunities to enhance HR service delivery.</li><li>Ensuring excellence in delivery of all employee lifecycle admin in the UK, including onboarding and offboarding</li><li>Accountable for ensuring that all mergers, acquisitions, mobilisations and integrations are pro-actively supported for payroll, pensions, systems and data requirements or other related areas</li><li>Accountable for pro-active development, and provision of all people data &amp; MI for Global &amp; business reporting to facilitate effective workforce planning and wider decision making across the HR function and UK business.</li><li>Ensuring compliance with J-Sox and other internal and external audit requirements - supporting the audit process and leading on implementing actions identified</li><li>Ensuring Compensation &amp; Benefits delivery in UK as referent for COE, feeding into Global C&amp;B strategy with local needs and market intelligence</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely payroll and pensions delivery through development and monitoring of KPI’s/SLA’s and, where appropriate, implementation of identified remedial actions</li><li>Accountable for HRIS, Travel &amp; expense system management</li><li>Ensure that all Eployee Relations matters are managed in a compliant and timely manner, acting as a point of escalation for complex or commercially sensitive cases/ matters</li><li>Identifies, drives and implements continuous improvement initiatives, primarily (but not exclusively) focussed upon global alignment and greater optimisation of HRSS efficiencies to enhance delivery to the business</li><li>Pro-actively collaborate with peers to deliver a consistently high-quality, respected HR service</li></ul>Job Skills, Experience and QualificationsQualificationsEssential<ul><li>Formally accredited or degree level HR qualification, or relevant experience operating at senior level</li><li>Demonstrable experience of leading high performing teams</li><li>Results oriented with a focus on achieving operational excellence through leading and collaborating across multiple HR cohorts, to deliver fully integrated solutions.</li><li>Strong understanding and application of HRMI</li><li>In-depth working knowledge of UK employment law/statutory compliance and reporting, including pensions, payroll and benefits legislation.</li><li>Experience developing strategic plans with a focus on continuous improvement in HR service delivery</li><li>Understanding of change management methodologies</li><li>Strong influencing skills at all levels both internally and externally, as required</li><li>Growth mindset with a focus on learning, adaptability &amp; innovation</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>Excellent IT skills – typically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and MS Teams.</li><li>Experience within Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial organisations, multi-site operations and/ or rail</li><li>Experience of implementing digital and technological improvements and advances to provide service improvement and efficiency in delivery</li><li>Experience of mergers, acquisitions, and mobilisations/demobilisations</li></ul>Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
