This role ensures efficient production of high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Create, edit, and maintain CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining operations using CAD/CAM software.</li><li>Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.</li><li>Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters to optimize cycle times and maintain quality standards.</li><li>Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and improve processes.</li><li>Perform program simulations and verify tool paths to prevent errors and reduce scrap.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and revisions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and company quality procedures.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.</li><li>Support Lean Manufacturing by understanding, analyzing, and streamlining machining process.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming, machining, or related field preferred</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Solidworks or similar).</li><li>Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&amp;T.</li><li>Knowledge of materials (metals, composites) and machining processes.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Experience cutting multiple materials, (Titanium, Stainless, Inconel, Plastics)</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Experience with multi-axis machining and advanced programming techniques.</li><li>Familiarity with ERP systems and shop floor data collection.</li><li>Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.</li></ul>#DGO  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
