Apply now and energize your career with a true leader in the global energy transformation.INDICATIVE DUTIES: Installs, overhauls and maintains all sizes and types of power circuit breakers, switches, motors, transformers and other electrical power plant equipment.  Tests for and locates faults on control, power and lighting circuits; potential and current transformer and switchboard wiring; motors and starters; and similar devices on AC and DC circuits.  Assists and instructs junior employees in work procedure and safe work practices.QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>GED or High School Diploma.</li><li>5 years of experience in the electrical field.</li></ul>Knowledge of:<ul><li>Theory of electricity as related to installation and maintenance of electrical equipment. </li><li>Materials, methods, practices and tools used in installation and maintenance of transformers, oil switches, regulators, motors, generators, switchboards and associated equipment. </li><li>Safety rules and regulations and first aid procedures.</li></ul>Ability to:<ul><li>Apply electrical theory to practical applications as encountered in power plant maintenance. </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and wiring diagrams. </li><li>Work safely on and around high voltage energized equipment. </li><li>Perform heavy manual labor. </li><li>Work on towers and racks as necessary. </li></ul>The knowledge, skills and abilities required for this job are of a level comparable with those normally acquired through courses taken in obtaining a high school education and considerable training and experience working as a power plant electrician.AES is an Equal Opportunity Employer who is committed to building strength and delivering long-term sustainability through diversity and inclusion.
