Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!<h1>Responsibilities:</h1><ul><li>Responsible for evaluating failed seals as needed and providing a detailed failure analysis with application recommendations in a Seal Failure Report. Also responsible for logging seal data for future reliability trend analysis.</li><li>Evaluates application technical information for the purpose of reviewing requested changes or substitutions to the current seal design to minimize safety concerns. Makes recommendations for seal types, materials and sealing systems.</li><li>Supports Latent/Root Cause Analysis for reliability incidents, and when applicable, support warranty response efforts for technical scope.</li><li>Troubleshoots products and systems when required. Documents, findings &amp; recommendations in a report.</li><li>Aid in the field with troubleshooting of seal installation and performance issues when necessary.</li><li>Works closely with service, design and manufacturing staff for the timely execution of repairs.</li><li>Assists in the promotion, selling and servicing of our products in the USA territory, consistent with the objectives of the company and the needs of the customer.</li><li>Supports key target continuous improvement projects and ensures their alignment with core strategic goals.</li><li>Assist in developing and maintaining sales tools including surveys, reference lists, status updates, presentations, standard proposals, and technical guidelines.</li><li>Review of drawings and product operation &amp; maintenance manuals when needed.</li><li>Provides customer presentations and product training, as well on site if required</li><li>Participates in development projects for new products and as well provides input for application engineering tool development</li></ul><h1>Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>5+ years of experience in a similar or related position involving seals or rotating equipment</li><li>Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills</li><li>Self-motivated, customer focused, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence</li><li>Demonstrated analytical capabilities sufficient to be an effective problem solver</li><li>Demonstrated ability to be an effective team member</li><li>Advanced education or training in mechanical seal technology</li><li>Thorough understanding of mechanical sealing technologies and its associated equipment</li><li>Thorough understanding of the ability to judge the form, fit and function of applicable products for any application</li><li>Flexible work habits to accommodate a fast pace and dynamic work environment</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.  Experience with Project Management or Access is a plus.
