Lastly, the role will also directly lead a small team and own system governance for the Capital Module in Workday.Key ResponsibilitiesCapital Planning Leadership:<ul><li>Own the capital budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and strategic prioritization across the organization.</li><li>Lead the development of the multi-year capital investment plan, integrating operational requirements with financial objectives.</li><li>Oversee governance of capital requests, approvals, reporting, and the end-to-end capital lifecycle.</li><li>Enhance current reporting outputs to better serve various management groups across the organization.</li><li>Own the Workday Capital Module, ensuring data integrity, process compliance, and optimization of system workflows.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two direct reports supporting capital planning and analysis.</li></ul> Operations Business Partnership:<ul><li>Partner closely with Operations leadership to understand business drivers, validate capital requirements, and challenge assumptions when necessary.</li><li>Provide financial insights that help evaluate the necessity, timing, and ROI of proposed capital projects.</li><li>Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align capital investment with operational performance expectations.</li></ul>Operations Business Partnership:<ul><li>Develop, track, and report capital-related KPIs, including asset utilization, spend efficiency, and project performance metrics.</li><li>Produce monthly capital reporting packages, including actuals, forecasts, risks/opportunities, and executive commentary.</li><li>Support the Capital Committee with analysis, financial models, and business cases.</li><li>Ensure capital cash flow forecasting incorporates accurate timing of expenditures, payment terms, and vendor conditions.</li><li>Partner with Accounting to support capitalization policies, month-end processes, and reconciliation of cash vs. accrual capital spend.</li><li>Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance capital planning processes, systems, and reporting standards.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; SkillsEducation &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.</li><li>CPA and/or CFA designation strongly preferred.</li><li>7–10 years of progressive experience in FP&amp;A, capital planning, corporate finance, or related areas.</li><li>Experience partnering with Operations or supporting asset-intensive businesses is an asset.</li><li>Prior people leadership experience preferred.</li></ul>Technical &amp; Analytical Skills:<ul><li>Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.</li><li>Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning frameworks.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Workday (particularly the Capital Module) is a strong asset.</li><li>Solid knowledge of IFRS accounting principles related to capital assets, depreciation, and capitalization rules.</li><li>Understanding of capital cash flow management, payment terms, and vendor financing.</li></ul>Leadership &amp; Soft Skills:<ul><li>Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive cross-functional alignment.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to connect insights to broader strategy.</li><li>Strong communication and storytelling skills, especially in explaining financial concepts to non-finance audiences.</li><li>Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.</li><li>Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.</li><li>Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement.</li></ul>  We thank you for your interest.
