AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Civil Design Engineer for a full-time position that can be based from any of our Greater Toronto Area offices (Markham or Mississauga). The candidate for this position will work on municipal drinking water and wastewater conveyance projects and related infrastructure including planning and feasibility to design and construction.The appropriately qualified candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in designing water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure projects. They will be expected to lead a design team of other project team members to maintain delivery quality design compliant with local standards and specifications, communicate with stakeholders effectively.The responsibilities of this position include:<ul><li>Lead a high performing design team in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary water and wastewater conveyance projects.</li><li>Technical knowledge of water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure in a municipal environment.</li><li>Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and clients.</li><li>Communicate effectively with stakeholders to build a strong relationship of trust and understanding.</li><li>Work closely with the project manager and other discipline engineers as a key player in leading the design delivery.</li><li>Complete designs within local standards, including making informed decisions on which standard to follow where there are conflicts and communicate and document the decision, engaging stakeholders as required.</li><li>Complete technical reports, calculations, and undertake design decisions.</li><li>Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and review design drawings.</li><li>Assist in conducting technical quality reviews of deliverables.</li><li>Conduct periodic site visits during design and construction</li><li>Provide continuity through complete project, from design through construction.</li><li>Provide guidance to technical staff.</li></ul>
