We all take initiative and remain adaptable, overcoming obstacles by prioritizing respect.</div>Position DescriptionOrigis Energy is seeking an experienced M&amp;A professional to lead and execute the company’s utility scale solar and energy storage business growth strategies.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and closing attractive project and portfolio acquisitions and dispositions. The position will serve as an integral leadership role as part of a high performing M&amp;A team responsible for all aspects of profitable growth, expansion via mergers and acquisitions, and capital recycling.  The role provides an opportunity to join a leading, vertically integrated renewable energy developer with an extensive portfolio of operating and under construction projects along with a growing pipeline of utility scale solar and energy storage projects.The Director Mergers &amp; Acquisitions, reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Execute the company’s M&amp;A strategies in alignment with growth and shareholder return objectives</li><li>Lead the origination, analysis, structuring, documentation, and execution of utility scale solar and storage project acquisitions and dispositions</li><li>Analyze different markets through an investment lens and make recommendations for M&amp;A activity; such analysis would include an assessment of the political, regulatory, legal, and tax environment for a given market, along with supply/demand and other economic considerations</li><li>Establish and maintain relationships with advisors, brokers, and developers to source attractive opportunities aligned with the company’s business objectives and underwriting criteria</li><li>Perform project due diligence across various functional areas, as applicable, including, interconnection, real estate, permitting, environmental, EPC, and project operations</li><li>Work closely with in-house and external counsel along with the CIO to review, negotiate and close purchase and sale agreements, joint development, and partnership agreements</li><li>Manage post-acquisition development, financing, and commercial obligations and activities</li><li>Communicate with other departments within the company including Development, Origination, Capital Markets, Engineering, and Accounting on transaction details as well as business planning and work processes</li><li>Prepare presentations and analysis necessary to obtain internal investment committee and company Board approvals</li><li>Maintain opportunity pipeline reporting, as well as department budgets, forecasts, and acquisition financing needs in coordination with the CIO</li><li>Explore and lead improvements in acquisition opportunity screening and analysis</li><li>Be responsible for various internal administrative functions which are required to support acquisitions</li><li>Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, mentorship, training, development, and performance management to M&amp;A team members</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field</li><li>Minimum 7 (seven) years of relevant renewable energy industry experience in business development, M&amp;A, project finance, or corporate development</li><li>Experience serving in a transaction leadership role; preferably within a renewable energy development or IPP business</li><li>Advanced knowledge of solar, solar + storage, and stand-alone storage markets and economics</li><li>Established relationships with renewable sector advisors, brokers, and developers</li><li>Experience in financial modeling and valuation analysis of relevant projects and markets;
