We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Job Summary:We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in Autodesk Inventor (Part Modelling, Frame Generator, Tube &amp; Pipe Run) and knowledge of Autodesk Vault. The role involves creating 3D models, plant/piping layouts, isometrics, GA, assembly, and fabrication drawings for water &amp; wastewater treatment systems (UF, RO, CEDI, CIP, UV, Softeners) and other process plants.The ideal candidate should have a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (First Class), experience with PFDs, P&amp;IDs, piping and structural design standards, and strong skills in design detailing, BOM creation, and cross-functional coordination.Experience in equipment design, skid-based systems, fabrication detailing, GD&amp;T, and working with international teams will be an added advantage. Good communication, problem-solving ability, and self-drive are essential. Responsibilities: •<ul><li>Create 3D models, plant layouts, piping layouts, isometric generation and CAD drawings for Water and Wastewater treatment plants or any other process treatment plant.</li><li>Create 3D models and CAD drawings of engineered products / process equipment, including creation of general arrangement, assembly and fabrication drawings.</li><li>Understanding P&amp;ID, PFD, Equipment / Pump datasheets, 3D design and detailing of skid-based water treatment systems like UF, RO, CEDI, CIP, UV, Softeners etc.,</li><li>Conversion of 2D Drawings to 3D Models, modify, improve, and reverse engineering of existing designs and products.</li><li>Create Bill of Materials (BOMs) in enterprise resource planning (ERP / SAP) system.</li><li>Create and update meta data of designs and 3D models in PDM/PLM system (Vault Pro) for records, control and retrieval.</li><li>Cross functional interaction / coordination to prepare plant layouts, piping layouts and GA drawings meeting the technical requirement.</li></ul>Academic and Professional Requirements:Must to have:<ul><li>BE., / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering with First Class.</li><li>3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Autodesk Inventor with each of the following.</li></ul><ul><li>Proficient in Part Modelling</li><li>Experience with Frame Generator module</li><li>Experience in Tube &amp; Pipe Run module</li><li>Familiar with Autodesk Vault for data management</li></ul><ul><li>Expected Technical engineering knowledge in the domain of Water and Wastewater Treatment is preferred or similar experience in Oil &amp; Gas, Chemical process and Power plants can be considered</li></ul><ul><li>Must have knowledge in reading the PFD and P&amp;ID</li><li>Experience in Piping Design, Standards and Codes.</li><li>Experience in Skid design.</li><li>Experience in Structural Design, Standards and Codes.</li></ul><ul><li>Good communication skills to liaise with international teams; Extra miler / self-driven to meet the commitments / goals. Be analytical and problem solving</li></ul>Good to have:<ul><li>Exposure in AutoCAD will be an added advantage but not a must.</li><li>Experience in detail engineering of skid-based water treatment systems like UF, RO, CEDI, CIP, UV, Softeners etc., with structural design and detailing of skid frames, tank weldment assemblies are preferred.</li><li>Experience in equipment / product design and detail engineering with fair knowledge of material specification, fabrication detailing, Limits, Fits, GD&amp;T, are preferred.</li><li>Exposure to MS Office package for preparing necessary documents, excel files and ppt’s will be an advantage.</li><li>Experience in working with international teams in engineering design will be an advantage</li><li>Experience in preparing plant layouts and Piping layouts to meet technical requirements.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
