You’ll work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver scalable, performant, and intuitive systems across the stack—from backend APIs to polished, data-rich UIs. As a senior contributor, you’ll own major features end-to-end, mentor other engineers, and influence technical direction. You’ll thrive if you’re pragmatic, product-minded, and passionate about building high-quality software that makes a real-world impact.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><h3>Technical Ownership</h3><ul style=""><li>Design, implement, and maintain robust backend services and modern frontend components for Portal.</li><li>Collaborate on system architecture and technical decisions across the stack, balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.</li><li>Write clean, well-tested, and documented code that supports long-term product growth.</li></ul><h3>Collaboration &amp; Mentorship</h3><ul style=""><li>Partner closely with Product Management, Design, and Operations to deliver features that meet customer needs.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers on the team.</li><li>Participate actively in code reviews, design sessions, and technical planning.</li></ul><h3>Delivery Excellence</h3><ul style=""><li>Contribute to a culture of quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Help evolve our developer processing: from observability, to testing, to CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>Take ownership of production stability and performance, including troubleshooting and debugging complex issues. </li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul style=""><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.</li><li>5+ years of professional software engineering experience building modern web applications.</li><li>Strong proficiency in both frontend and backend development.</li><li>Expertise with React (or similar frameworks) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.</li><li>Experience with Python and/or Golang in production environments.</li><li>Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).</li><li>Familiarity with event-driven architectures and RESTful API design.</li><li>Comfortable with cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, EC2, RDS, Cognito, etc.).</li><li>Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. </li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul style=""><li>Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), or containerized deployment pipelines.</li><li>Background in building data-intensive or geospatial web applications.</li><li>Prior experience building web applications for computer vision, video processing, or robotics domain.</li><li>Passion for transportation technology, civic innovation, or sustainability.</li></ul>
