These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.  Job Description  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Expedite orders and provide status updates as required</li><li>Action all MRP driven exception messages</li><li>Interface with suppliers, engineers, and other departments</li><li>Analyze and process MRP requirements</li><li>Request, evaluate, and negotiate quotes/contracts</li><li>Receive, review, and execute purchase requisitions</li><li>Process and execute purchase orders in accordance with company policy</li><li>Ensure procurement specifications, drawings, and supplemental info is properly transmitted to suppliers</li><li>Coordinate, conduct, and participate in cross functional team meetings to investigate and recommend continuous process improvement, strategic initiatives and cost reduction initiatives</li><li>Provide reporting to support cost reduction and continuous improvement goals</li><li>Maintain up to date system records</li><li>Resolve invoice discrepancies as required</li><li>Coordinate appropriate implementation of ECO changes that affect procurement</li><li>Develop forecasts at multiple levels and over varying time horizons through close collaboration with production manager and procurement team</li><li>Review historical sales trends and provide data to PLM’s to facilitate improved decision making</li><li>Work with ERP system to develop automated ways to load forecast data and drive all aspects of material while working to improve inventory turns and reducing overall inventory levels</li><li>Work with procurement and production to ensure material is available to end users in time to meet customer commitments</li><li>Develop standard delivery times for key products to allow for faster turn around</li><li>Report forecast variances to production manager</li><li>Recommend forecast adjustments based on statistical data review</li><li>Provide lead time and delivery information to sales on non-standard product, using knowledge of all material and resources</li><li>Working with engineering on phasing in and out of various products with the use of the system</li><li>Reviewing ECO’s to ensure proper revisions to products are being produced</li><li>Develop key forecasting processes using the ERP system</li><li>Valid driver’s license</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>Associates Degree preferred in business or related field</li><li>5+ years’ experience in planning or purchasing; interfacing with suppliers, expediting of parts</li><li>Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Demonstrated excellence in negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to read and interpret design drawings</li><li>Demonstrated ability to deliver results</li></ul>Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Ability to work with changing demands in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Attention to details</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Computer Experience required including a working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook</li><li>Knowledge of continuous improvement</li><li>Ability to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitude</li><li>Experience with ERP systems;</li><li>Familiarity with software programs used on the job (carrier: FedEx, UPS, and DHL), preferred</li><li>Experience in material control within an electronics manufacturing environment, preferred</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities:<ul><li>None</li></ul>Training Requirements:<ul><li>IFS training</li><li>HSE/Quality Overview</li><li>Certification of handling and shipping of Lithium batteries, required</li><li>Teledyne Ethics/Harassment</li><li>Hazardous Communications</li></ul>Personal Protective Equipment:<ul><li>In accordance with Teledyne Marine Systems safety policies</li><li>Hard Hats required in designated areas</li><li>The use of Safety Glasses is required throughout all production areas of the facility</li><li>Safety shoes as required per TMS policy</li></ul>  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
