You’ll play a key role in translating requirements into real-world systems: from infrastructure as code and authentication systems to build pipelines and secure services.Responsibilities:<ul style=""><li>Own the security posture of distributed edge nodes, ensuring hardened baselines, secure provisioning, updates, and telemetry.</li><li>Implement and monitor key security controls - network segmentation, secrets management, access control, and audit logging.</li><li>Lead the triage and resolution of security incidents, partnering with engineers to design and deliver secure systems.</li><li>Translate security and compliance requirements into practical, scalable implementations.</li><li>Build and maintain secure, repeatable infrastructure across cloud and edge environments using modern automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.</li><li>Contribute to documentation, standards, and cross-functional security efforts, including occasional IT security support.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul style=""><li>7+ years of total professional experience, including at least 2 years in Security Operations.</li><li>Strong background in Linux-based systems across cloud, on-premise, and edge/IoT environments.</li><li>Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).</li><li>Able to automate operational and security tasks through scripting.</li><li>Experience documenting and providing evidence for security and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).</li><li>Pragmatic mindset - security that enables progress, not prevents it.</li><li>Willingness to learn new tools as needed; current stack includes Python, Terraform, Ansible, AWS, and C++.</li></ul>Preferred Requirements:<ul style=""><li>Hands-on experience with Critical Loop’s stack: AWS, Python, Terraform, and Ansible.</li><li>Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, SAML, OIDC).</li><li>Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred, but others welcome).</li></ul>Critical Loop is an equal opportunity employer.
