You are responsible for managing the Procure-to-Pay process for several group entities in Belgium and internationally, while also supporting the Order-to-Cash process. With your structured mindset and hands-on approach, you help ensure accurate, efficient and future-proof financial operations.<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>You act as the main point of contact for supplier-related accounting questions.</li><li>You process purchase invoices and employee expense reports accurately and timely.</li><li>You perform daily bank synchronisations and validate bank transaction reconciliations.</li><li>You prepare and execute payment batches for suppliers and employees.</li><li>You maintain, review and improve Procure-to-Pay procedures.</li><li>You follow up with customers and correctly register incoming payments.</li><li>You maintain and review Order-to-Cash procedures and reporting.</li><li>You support ad hoc projects and assist the finance team and CFO with general accounting matters.</li><li>You contribute to process improvements and optimisation within the ERP environment (Odoo).</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in an international context.</li><li>You have a solid understanding of general accounting principles and VAT regulations.</li><li>You have a very good to excellent knowledge of English to support our international operations.</li><li>You are a collaborative team player who takes ownership and works proactively.</li><li>You are able to work independently and complete tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>You communicate clearly and enjoy working closely with colleagues.</li><li>You are interested in experimenting with and adopting future-proof digital finance tools.</li><li>You are able to structure your weekly operational tasks and think ahead within monthly closing timelines.</li><li>Experience in working in one or more ERP systems is a plus.</li></ul>BenefitsAt Smappee we believe in a modern and dynamic work environment where you can be yourself and truly inspire people to contribute to a better planet.
