Assist in the performance of start-up duties and ensure any problems are resolved.</li><li>Perform an initial inspection of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager.</li><li>Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment.</li><li>Perform diagnostic checks using computer technology.</li><li>Participate in weekly on-call rotation schedule to assist customers after hours.</li><li>Perform related duties as assigned.</li><li>Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>3-5 years of diesel experience or a combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.</li><li>Valid driver’s license with good driving record</li><li>Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose basic mechanical problems</li><li>Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues--preferred.</li><li>Thorough understanding of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance.</li><li>Basic understanding of pump station electrical controls and monitoring devices</li><li>General DC electric and circuit testing skills</li><li>General diesel engine component location and identification</li><li>CDL Class B is considered a plus</li><li>Safety practices and procedures</li><li>Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; self-motivated and self-directed.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and managers both verbally and in writing.</li></ul>DAY IN THE LIFE:  In this role, the working environment may be frequently outdoors, weather extremities, use of PPE, exposures to hazardous material, loud noise, etc. and the physical demands may include but not limited to {regularly sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs.   In addition, this role may require frequent travel to customer sites and on-call as a regular part of the job.   Standard weekly job hours: 40 hours.  SALARY:   ($28/hr. - $34/hr.)
