You’ll:<ul><li>Lead and inspire a team to deliver business outputs, ensuring each individual’s potential is fully developed.</li><li>Analyse business performance to ensure compliance with costs and output deliverables, identifying opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Implement robust stakeholder and customer interfaces, ensuring effective communication of short, medium, and long-term plans that affect local communities.</li><li>Deliver short-term (6–12 weeks) and medium-term (3–12 months) plans aligned with district objectives, minimising outages and maintaining network security.</li><li>Ensure compliance with SPEN processes and procedures in line with regulatory and licence obligations.</li><li>Collaborate with other District management teams to achieve wider SPEN Licence objectives.</li><li>Drive performance against key targets, including:<ul><li>Customer Minutes Lost</li><li>Customer Interruptions</li><li>Broad Measure of Customer Satisfaction</li><li>Guaranteed Standards</li><li>Time to Connect and other incentive mechanisms</li></ul></li><li>Promote exemplary health and safety culture, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of all works.</li><li>Manage depot activities and responsibilities to ensure effective local operations.</li><li>Deliver outputs, optimising system performance and customer service incentives while meeting financial and regulatory objectives.</li></ul>What you’ll bring<ul><li>Expert knowledge of construction and maintenance standards within a regulated environment.</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and experience managing contracts and SLAs.</li><li>Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.</li><li>Project/programme management experience and a track record of delivering complex initiatives.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.</li><li>Technical and operational experience in a relevant engineering leadership role within utilities.</li></ul>Essential criteria:<ul><li>Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.</li><li>Demonstrable experience in managing both minor and major projects</li><li>Operational experience on electrical networks up to 33kV (advantageous).</li><li>Full UK driving licence.</li></ul>What’s in it for youAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
