The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for our renewable energy projects. Duties and Responsibilities <ul><li>Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records for renewable energy projects, including accounts payable processing and general ledger entries.</li><li>Prepare and process invoices, monitor payment statuses, and manage the full accounts payable cycle for project entities.</li><li>Conduct vendor verification, including banking detail confirmation and compliance checks.</li><li>Perform vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies timeously.</li><li>Prepare payment journals and compile payment batches for review and approval.</li><li>Engage directly with vendors to resolve queries and ensure smooth financial operations.</li><li>Process and reconcile company credit card transactions.</li><li>Process and reconcile travel cost accounts and company fleet expenses.</li><li>Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash-flow reporting and financial integrity.</li><li>Assist in coordinating internal and external audits, preparing all required supporting documentation.</li><li>Maintain well-organised financial records and ensure all documentation is readily accessible for reporting and audit purposes.</li><li>Communicate financial information, insights, and variances to project managers, senior leadership, and relevant stakeholders.</li><li>Stay current with regulations, financial standards, and compliance requirements within the renewable energy industry.</li><li>Assist with onboarding and training of new staff on time-and-expense systems and procedures.</li></ul>  Required Skills and Educational Background <ul><li>Diploma in Finance or basic bookkeeping qualification.</li><li>A minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to the renewable energy sector preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Knowledge of South African VAT &amp; Tax regulations related to renewable energy projects.</li><li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.</li><li>Act with high levels of integrity and accountability.</li></ul> Desirable Attributes The ideal candidate would have a passion for the Renewable Energy sector and personality traits would include a high level of diligence, determination, resilience, and agility. Mulilo is an employer of choice and is offering an extremely competitive total remuneration package for this position.
