Position Overview:We are seeking a qualified Health, Safety &amp; Environment (HSE) Professional to manage safety compliance and best industry practices for a large water / wastewater / pipeline / treatment plant infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in large-scale infrastructure works, excellent communication skills, and proven leadership in managing HSE teams.Preferred Requirements:1. HSE Planning &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans, procedures, and site-specific safety protocols.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project-specific safety requirements.</li><li>Review and approve contractor HSE documentation (JSA, method statements, risk assessments, permits).</li></ul>2. Site Supervision &amp; Auditing<ul><li>Conduct regular HSE inspections, safety walks, internal audits, and hazard identification activities.</li><li>Ensure site adherence to safety guidelines for excavation, working at height, confined space, heavy equipment operation, and hot work.</li><li>Issue NCRs and safety observations; ensure timely closeout of corrective actions.</li></ul>3. Incident Management<ul><li>Lead and coordinate accident / incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.</li><li>Maintain incident logs, prepare monthly HSE reports, and ensure transparency and timely reporting.</li></ul>4. Worker Training &amp; Safety Culture<ul><li>Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and specialized training programs for workers, supervisors, and contractors.</li><li>Promote a positive safety culture, ensuring employees at all levels understand their HSE responsibilities.</li></ul>5. Emergency Preparedness<ul><li>Develop and implement emergency response plans for fire, medical, chemical, and environmental emergencies.</li><li>Conduct regular emergency drills in coordination with site teams and external agencies.</li></ul>6. Environmental Management<ul><li>Monitor compliance related to waste management, water quality, air quality, noise levels, hazardous materials, and spill response.</li><li>Support implementation of Environmental Management Plans (EMP) for water projects.</li></ul>7. Stakeholder Coordination<ul><li>Coordinate with contractors, consultants, local authorities, IFIs, and client representatives on all HSE matters.</li><li>Facilitate safety meetings, progress reviews, and risk workshops.</li></ul>
