An Engineering Technologist I applies developing technical expertise to solve simple problems and management skills to provide oversight of work in a specific area of developing expertise, with close supervision. An Engineering Technologist I is expected to develop skills and ability in their field of study and work with some degree of independence. <h2>Responsibilities </h2><ul><li>Work within a team environment to accomplish a common goal</li><li>Applies technical expertise in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise,</li><li>Communicates with customers both internal and external to ensure satisfaction</li><li>Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities,</li><li>Applies beginner level knowledge in preparing thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches,</li><li>Conducts engineering and related studies and performs design work for field construction,</li><li>Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance,</li><li>Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities,</li><li>Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills,</li><li>Maintains accurate records and files,</li><li>Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally</li></ul><h2> Required/Basic Qualifications</h2>Note: This posting is for one open position. Dependent on relative experience, the level to which a candidate is aligned is outlined below.   Engineering Technologist I<ul><li>Associate degree in Engineering Technology (or equivalent) with no experience, OR</li><li>In lieu of above degree, high school diploma/GED AND two (2) years minimum required related experience</li></ul> Engineering Technologist II<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology with no experience, OR</li><li>Associate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND two (2) years minimum required related experience, OR</li><li>In lieu of above degrees and experience, high school diploma/GED AND four (4) years minimum required related experience</li></ul>  <h2> Desired Qualifications</h2><ul><li>In addition to desired degree, 2 years related work experience</li><li>Experience in the utility industry.</li><li>Understanding of basic principles of project management.</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills</li></ul><h2>Working Conditions</h2><ul><li>Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.
