We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.<ul><li>Must obtain and maintain Level II NDE certification per Xylem requirements.</li><li>Must be able to operate PIV per Xylem requirements.</li><li>Perform initial inspection of incoming customer return material to determine how material will be dispositioned.  This may include disassembly, testing, inspection, etc. of material returned.  Provide findings to Quality Assurance Supervisor or his designee.</li><li>Provide training and instruction to customers, vendors through various means (i.e. in person, virtual, phone, etc.)</li><li>Verify through the audit procedure that all operations have been completed and that the appropriate documentation is correct and in place.</li></ul>The following areas shall be audited:<ul><li>Material Identification and traceability of all required components,</li><li>Dimensions of machined components,</li><li>Examination of the shell &amp; head sections,</li><li>Weld fit-up accomplishment,</li><li>Correct marking of parts, heat numbers, as required,</li><li>Correctness of dimensions,</li><li>Freedom from defects in the unit,</li><li>Verification that all required product acceptance tests were performed and are acceptable,</li><li>Verification that gauge and inspection equipment calibration is current,</li><li>Acceptability of weld repairs,</li><li>Verification that the documentation package is complete,</li><li>Verification that the proper nameplate information is correct and is attached to the unit,</li></ul><ul><li>Perform all required Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE).</li><li>Prepare audit results documents and any associated non-conformance records.</li><li>Accept responsibility for the quality of their audits and reporting mechanisms.</li><li>Prepare Xylem Improvement Reports (NCR's) when non-conforming material is identified.</li><li>Review Xylem Improvement Reports (NCR’s) generated by manufacturing.</li><li>Bring systemic non-conformances to the attention of the shop supervisor, quality supervisor or quality manager.</li><li>Calibrate inspection &amp; test instrumentation as assigned.</li><li>Perform incoming goods inspections as required by the quality program as assigned.</li><li>Assist customer representatives and outside auditors as required.</li><li>Assist and train new employees in this job classification.</li><li>Observe all safety and shop guidelines.</li><li>Maintain daily housekeeping activities.</li><li>Encourage, review, and recommend improvements to department processes, safety, throughput, methods, and procedures.</li><li>Participate in safety and CI initiatives, 5S, and Point Kaizens.</li><li>Notify supervisor immediately of any shortages in work-center supplies, machine malfunction, quality issues, material problems, or problems within process or completed work.</li><li>Perform nameplate stampings for all product lines as required. </li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:<h1>Education</h1><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalency</li></ul><h1>Experience</h1><ul><li>Five years’ experience in a heat exchanger manufacturing environment, demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, and a working knowledge of applicable nondestructive inspection techniques.</li><li>Know and understand product functionality.</li><li>Possess the ability to prepare written and oral reports to management.</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business system software programs.</li><li>Technical training in heat transfer technology or equivalent in-plant experience.</li><li>Mechanical dimensions and tolerance skill.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
