If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.</div></div><p>As a Lead Vehicle Test Technician, reporting to the Manager for Vehicle Validation, you will be assigned a range of duties, including instrumentation of vehicles for testing in various disciplines, dynamics, durability, noise and vibration, performance. You will work with a dedicated group of engineers and technicians to solve data acquisition problems.  You will also support various engineering prototype builds.<br><br>The ideal candidate can show proof of excellence in your past position, while demonstrating profound creativity in resolving mechanical problems, diagnosing faults, and implementing vehicle test hardware.<br><br>The Role:</p><ul><li>Build state of the art automotive prototype vehicle, systems, and subsystems</li><li>Work closely with Design engineers and identify potential assembly and service issues</li><li>Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative environment</li><li>Evaluate engineering prototypes on the road to acquire various types of data</li><li>Service instrumentation systems and wire harnesses</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Proficient with wiring and sensor installation and check out</li><li>Able to diagnose basic wiring problems</li><li>Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and possible overtime including supporting test trips to various locations around the mid-west US and occasional trips to California HQ.  Estimated travel 20%.</li><li>Basic computer skills for issue reporting</li><li>Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly both written and orally</li><li>Exceptional ability and desire to learn new skills and tools ability to apply oneself in new problems in a dynamic lean start-up environment</li><li>Proof of excellence in your past position, while demonstrating profound creativity in resolving mechanical problems</li><li>5 years automobile technician experience</li><li>Valid US driver’s license</li></ul><p>Education:</p><ul><li>Degree in Automotive Technology or ASE Certification or equivalent professional vehicle service expertise.</li></ul><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li>Associates degree or equivalent training</li><li>Experience working on fully electric vehicles</li><li>Professional Race team experience</li><li>Fabrication and wiring experience</li><li>Luxury automotive technician experience</li><li>Experience working on fully electric vehicles</li><li>Professional Race team experience</li><li>Fabrication and wiring experience</li></ul><p> </p><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
