As a part of our continued growth, AECOM’s Calgary office is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our vertical infrastructure team. The candidate for this position will work on municipal water/wastewater treatment, pump station and related infrastructure projects in all phases from planning and feasibility to detailed design, construction, and commissioning.The responsibilities of this position include::<ul><li>Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and customers</li><li>Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.</li><li>Undertake preliminary and detailed engineering design activities.</li><li>Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team</li><li>Exercise judgement limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. </li><li>Develop engineering designs, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.</li><li>Complete technical calculations to support design decisions</li><li>Prepare technical reports and analysis to support project assignments.</li><li>Support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal water, and wastewater sectors</li><li>Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.</li><li>Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.</li><li>Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.</li><li>Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.</li><li>Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.</li><li>Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.</li><li>Provide construction administration and construction field services, including reviewing and approving construction progress in the field</li><li>Coordinate the work of a mulit-discipline team of engineers</li><li>Prepare complex project deliverables using a team of junior technical and support staff</li><li>Pursue and deliver new water/wastewater projects with private and municipal clients</li><li>Actively engage in professional development and industry events</li></ul>
