AECOM is seeking a Project Planning and Scheduling Specialist III to support complex, high-impact transportation projects across New York City. This role is ideal for a seasoned scheduler who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to play a critical role in delivering highways, bridges, and rail infrastructure that millions rely on every day.In this position, you’ll serve as a trusted scheduling expert—leading CPM development and analysis, guiding critical path decisions, supporting claims and delay analysis, and partnering closely with project teams from design through construction. You’ll work hands-on with Oracle Primavera P6, influence project outcomes, and help mentor and elevate junior scheduling staff.This is an onsite role in NYC and an opportunity to contribute your expertise to some of the region’s most visible and essential transportation projects—while growing your career with a global leader in infrastructure.This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:<ul><li>Review and develop schedules for the construction of highways, bridges, and railways</li><li>Provide expert review and analysis of Contractor Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Schedules</li><li>Provide expert review and analysis of construction schedule critical path and logic changes and milestone status</li><li>Analyze and prepare schedule fragnets and delay event timelines for construction project delays</li><li>Analyze, report on, recommend mitigation options and recommend responsibility for construction project delays</li><li>Develop and/or review Suggested Preliminary Construction Schedules during the final design stage based on the available plans, specifications and estimate provided by the project designer</li><li>Update policies, procedures, specifications of guidance related to construction scheduling and construction project management</li><li>Will use Oracle Primavera P6</li><li>Lead Scheduler on major construction projects</li><li>Train other scheduling personnel in CPM and scheduling practices</li><li>Analyze schedule data to identify key project issues</li><li>Support the development of plans and schedules for proposals</li><li>Assist in leading junior staff through assignment tasks</li><li>Assist in tracking corrective actions</li><li>Assist in the coordination of schedule input from all parts of the organization</li><li>Identify and assist in analysis of project schedule variances. Identifies and analyzes schedule variances and recommends associated corrective action</li><li>Update and produce scheduling management reports</li><li>Assist in the development and maintenance of WBS and helps insure that project coding is effectively used for all cornerstone applications</li><li>Use drawings and specifications for schedule development</li><li>Develop CPM schedule logic for engineering, procurement and construction as well as command of cornerstone scheduling system</li><li>Resource load schedule and perform remedial schedule risk analysis</li><li>Responsible for assembling data for schedule updating</li><li>Responsible for construction contracting and the scheduling implications of contract terms</li><li>Measure progress and reviews invoices of contractors</li><li>Scope control and change management and incorporate directed changes into schedule baseline</li><li>Responsible for some elements of baseline schedule and associated maintenance</li><li>Basic cost analysis and forecasting as it relates to planning and scheduling</li><li>Assists in performance measurement and associated schedule trends</li><li>Supports various levels of project reporting</li><li>Participates in and at times leads project planning and scheduling review meetings</li><li>Assists in procedure development and implementation</li></ul>
