We offer an inclusive and collaborative work environment where employees can thrive and make a meaningful impact.<h1>Tasks and Qualifications:</h1>What will you do in this role?<ul><li>Interpret design input information to produce control system designs.</li><li>Ensure systems designed and supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.</li><li>Produce design and manufacturing programmes.</li><li>Produce all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.</li><li>Design and produce electrical layout and schematic drawings using appropriate CAD tools.</li><li>Procurement of electrical control panels and installation services; and liaise with suppliers on technical matters.</li><li>Liaise and provide technical information to respective internal teams such as electrical installation supervisors, subcontractors, Project Sales, Project Engineers, Project Managers, Purchasing Department etc.</li><li>Provide technical backup to the service team as required, including bug fixes, enhancements, and modifications.</li></ul>What are we looking for?<ul><li>Proven experience as Controls Hardware Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer or similar role.</li><li>Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.</li><li>Extensive proven hands-on experience working within an industrial automation environment.</li><li>Experience working with E-Plan, AutoCAD, MS Package.</li><li>A working understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals &amp; drawings.</li><li>Good understanding of distributed control systems and the principles of industrial networks used to connect and integrate control systems. ​</li><li>Understanding and use of relevant design requirements such as the Machinery Directive and its harmonised standards, with experience in FEM and BS standards preferred.</li><li>Willingness to travel (up to 20%) to customer sites within the Northern European region and occasional travel to other Dematic offices or facilities in the undertaking of duties.</li></ul>Dematic is proud to provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
