We build the services that bring new customers aboard, keep them secure and compliant, and empower both customers and internal teams with smart tooling and automation. What you can expect As&nbsp;Junior Backend Developer&nbsp;f/m/x, you'll work on real problems that matter: seamless onboarding flows, KYC processes, GDPR-compliant systems, support automation, and the infrastructure that makes Tomorrow a trusted banking partner. You'll code in Kotlin and Java, collaborate across teams, and grow your skills with mentorship from experienced engineers—all while building products that drive sustainable banking forward.What you'll do:<ul><li>Design and develop backend services using&nbsp;Kotlin and Java&nbsp;(Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka)</li><li>Build features across onboarding, compliance tooling, and customer support automation</li><li>Collaborate with Stream Leads, Designers, and cross-functional teams</li><li>Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation</li><li>Troubleshoot issues as part of third-level support</li><li>Engage with Communities of Practice to share knowledge and level up</li><li>Help shape processes that reduce manual work and improve efficiency</li></ul> What we're looking for <ul><li>1-2 years of professional software development experience (including internships, bootcamps, or substantial personal projects)</li><li>Basic knowledge of Java and Kotlin - you've worked with these languages and understand core concepts</li><li>Basic knowledge of SQL - you can write queries, understand joins, and work with databases</li><li>Basic knowledge of Git - you're comfortable with branching, merging, and pull requests</li><li>Basic knowledge of Gradle - you understand how to build and manage dependencies</li><li>Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP fundamentals - you know how web services communicate</li><li>Nice to have: Experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka, Spring Boot, Docker, or testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)</li><li>Nice to have: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps basics</li></ul> Let's challenge ourselves: Is a degree (study/training) really mandatory?
