We are looking for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and passionate about supporting the development of technology with the potential to change the world.Experience/Skills Required:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Hands-on experience handling battery materials while adhering to strict laboratory safety protocols.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to document experiments clearly, accurately, and thoroughly.</li><li>Comfortable working in a collaborative lab environment and following established procedures.</li></ul>Experience/Skills Preferred:<ul><li>Basic understanding of lithium-ion battery handling and usage.</li><li>Experience with glove box operations.</li><li>Foundational knowledge of quality control principles and inspection techniques.</li><li>Familiarity with precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.</li></ul>Behavioral Attributes:<ul><li>Passionate about hands-on laboratory work.</li><li>Highly independent and self-motivated.</li><li>Organized with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Outstanding team player and collaborative contributor.</li></ul>Roles and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Report directly to the Laboratory Manager.</li><li>Assemble various Li-ion battery cells, including coin cells and pouch cells.</li><li>Document all cell build data accurately and thoroughly.</li><li>Operate lab testing equipment, including electrochemical analyzers.</li><li>Develop and implement system support processes and maintain associated documentation.</li><li>Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished products.</li><li>Conduct routine quality tests using appropriate tools, gauges, and equipment.</li><li>Record inspection and test results accurately in quality documentation and management systems.</li><li>Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials or products.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.</li><li>Support audits (internal and external) as required.</li><li>Maintain calibration and cleanliness of inspection equipment.</li><li>Communicate quality issues clearly with the production team, supervisors, and quality leadership.</li></ul>Location: Rochester, NY.&nbsp;Compensation: GDI offers competitive market compensation along with medical, dental, vision benefits, a 401(k)-matching plan, and stock options.
