Provides customer and supplier contacts relating to quality performance of a technical nature.Responsibilities and Duties<ul><li>Plant reporting systems<ul><li>Accountable for Plant Quality Control Systems to insure that controls are functioning in the areas of process, purchased material and final product quality to maintain internal and external quality costs while ensuring customer expectations are met</li><li>Manages Quality Assurance Systems to include the maintenance of warranty data, in-plant scrap data, compliance data, SNR’s, customer concerns, etc.</li></ul></li><li>Customer issues, 8D’s<ul><li>Provide customer responses as per customer expectations</li><li>Interface with customers both OEM and aftermarket to resolve quality issues/concerns</li></ul></li><li>Daily QA practices<ul><li>Work with plant cross functional teams</li><li>Facilitate and Support problem solving on preventative/corrective action for resolution of issues or concerns related to quality</li><li>Coordinate cross functional efforts and provide internal direction to ensure timely completion of assignments</li><li>Provide oversite and drive compliance to CSR requirements</li><li>Monitor quality reports to identify problems</li><li>Perform special studies and analyses at the request of Plant or Division management</li><li>Contact customers or suppliers regarding resolution of quality or product liability problems of a technical nature (includes customers and supplier visits)</li><li>Accountable for disposition of defective materials and manage the QOS system management</li><li>Performs special studies and analyses at the request of plant or division management</li></ul></li><li>Change management<ul><li>Facilitate and ensure compliance with customer change management notifications and approval requirements.  Verify customer submission packages meet customer expectations and are correctly formatted in advance of customer submissions</li><li>Administer and sign-off on existing/new process changes/implementation</li></ul></li><li>PPAP<ul><li>Preparation and submission of PPAP documentation to customer as needed</li></ul></li><li>Managerial<ul><li>Direct or assist in the selection, hiring and training of Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians </li><li>Reports on Quality at all Plant Management reviews</li><li>Drives Cost of Quality improvements.  Project management in areas involving Quality</li><li>Assures QS and ISO requirements are met. Acts as Plant representative during audits</li><li>Manages and directs the activities of the Plant Quality Technicians</li><li>Submits required monthly reports to Milwaukee (QOS, Environmental, Purchasing)</li><li>Administers and signs-off existing/new process specifications (SCO/DCO system, Control Plan)</li><li>Responsible for plant Quality Control systems to insure that controls are functioning in the areas of process, purchased material and final product quality to maintain internal and external quality costs while ensuring customer expectations are met</li><li>Supervises preparation of all quality reports and analyzes reports to identify problems.
