In this role you will work with cross functional teams throughout the lifecycle of the product to develop high quality and efficient manufacturing equipment and processes that will produce Base Power’s battery storage products.What You’ll Do<ul style=""><li>Develop equipment, fixtures, and processes to support early-stage prototype builds and scale for high-volume production</li><li>Determine and procure necessary equipment for all manufacturing processes, collaborating with integrators to design and manufacture semi-auto to fully automated manufacturing equipment</li><li>Manage suppliers through specification, design, buyoff, and installation of manufacturing equipment</li><li>Design efficient production workstation layouts to enhance product flow, ergonomics, and efficiency while conducting process analysis, DOE, PFMEA, line balancing, and capacity modeling/simulation</li><li>Provide DFM (design for manufacturability) input to improve processes and yield outcomes</li><li>Create detailed manufacturing instructions and documentation to train technicians, implement new processes, and ensure smooth handoff to production operations</li></ul>What You’ll Bring<ul style=""><li>5+ years of experience as a hands-on Mechanical/Manufacturing/Design Engineer working on mechanical and/or electromechanical systems</li><li>Experience using 2D cad tools for conceptual line design (AutoCAD) and 3D design for mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling (SolidWorks or CATIA)</li><li>Experience with conveyance, workstation design, robotic systems, adhesive dispensing, DC fastening tools, or automated functional testing</li><li>Experience with GD&amp;T and system stack up analysis</li><li>Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment</li><li>Experience providing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Automation (DFA)</li><li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience</li></ul>About the TeamMakers of the machines that power tomorrow.
