The position starts based out of our Burnaby office and will evolve to full time at a construction site during normal construction hours however, some night and weekend work may be required.The selected candidate will interact daily with the Client, Project Management Team (PMT), and the Engineer of Record (EOR).The responsibilities of the Construction Manager include:<ul><li>Construction Project Management (e.g. directing field engineering team, interface to the in-office engineers-of-record and discipline leads, project progress reports, project team coordination for all construction submittals, direct client and PMT coordination, timely delivery of responses to all construction submittals, RFI’s, RFC’s, CO’s, etc., monitoring and reporting of QA/QC compliance and overall quality system, recommendations for contracting strategies)</li><li>QA/QC reviews and compliance</li><li>Work with PMT and Construction Contractor in expediting solutions to technical field problems</li><li>Review, coordinate, and adjudicate all construction submittals</li><li>Coordinate directly with EOR discipline leads on all design changes and construction submittals</li><li>Participate in the negotiation of change orders specific to design changes</li><li>Notification to the PMT of any observed work that does not conform to the requirements of the contract documents; and</li><li>Participate in and document all construction meetings onsite (e.g. daily tailgate/safety meetings, weekly construction meetings, etc.)</li></ul>
