The RoleThis is a full-time role based in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA. We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of Generative AI solutions across Sixth Street. This individual will be at the forefront of AI innovation, responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our investment, legal, and technology teams, translating complex business needs into tangible, high-impact AI products.Core Responsibilities<ul><li>AI Product Strategy &amp; Road mapping: Define AI product vision and roadmap; manage AI request intake and prioritization based on value, feasibility, and alignment.</li><li>Product Discovery &amp; Validation: Lead discovery process for new AI opportunities. Partner with Engineering teams to guide prototype development and validation. Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. </li><li>Governance &amp; Compliance: Manage internal and third-party AI initiative approval process. Prepare and present detailed proposals to Legal, Compliance, and other control functions, ensuring all products adhere to firm policies, data privacy standards, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Executive &amp; Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and executive leadership. Clearly articulate the AI product roadmap, project status, potential risks, and ROI.</li><li>Adoption &amp; Change Management: Champion AI innovation across the firm, acting as the resident subject matter expert. Develop and execute strategies to drive the adoption of new AI tools and capabilities, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into business workflows to maximize impact.</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering).</li><li>Minimum 2-3 years Product Management experience, ideally within a technology-driven space, with a track record of successfully driving projects from conception to launch.</li><li>Strong understanding of modern AI landscape (LLMs, RAG patterns, agentic workflows). Hands-on coding is not required, however familiarity with the software development lifecycle is essential for effective partnership with Engineering.</li><li>Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling strong relationships and impactful influence with senior stakeholders.</li><li>Proficient time management and organization skillset, with proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.</li><li>Experience in the Financial Services industry is strongly preferred. A deep understanding of investment workflows, data sensitivity, and the regulatory landscape is critical for success.</li></ul>CompensationThe base salary for this position is expected to be between $180,000 and $220,000. The base salary offered to the selected candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by Sixth Street in its sole discretion.In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package. Benefits offered currently include health, life, long-term and short-term disability insurance and a 401(k) plan.
