We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What you’ll do:<ul><li>Perform Electrical &amp; Mechanical testing of prototype and certified batteries for the eVTOL aircraft</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with teams across the company to develop test plans and execute on those plans for flight critical hardware</li></ul><ul><li>Perform Acceptance Testing on Modules,Battery Packs, and Charge Port Assemblies</li><li>Design sub-scale test rigs for mechanical and electrical tests requiring pcba/hardware and software development</li><li>Design and deploy custom thermal abuse test equipment and controllers</li><li>Design bespoke test equipment and test automation software to support cross functional battery R&amp;D testing</li><li>Mechanical design of test rigs in NX CAD software</li><li>Development of LabVIEW, Python, and other test development tools</li><li>Analyze test data and share with engineering teams</li><li>Develop automated test equipment as needed</li><li>Develop novel test procedures and execute testing</li><li>Create reports for submission to the FAA.</li></ul>What you need:<ul><li>BS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field</li><li>4+ years of experience in a battery design, testing environment, or equipment design</li><li>Experience testing Battery Packs Electrically &amp; Mechanically</li><li>Experience with high voltage systems: cars, aircraft, etc.</li><li>Experience with LabVIEW</li><li>Experience with a wide variety of DAQ systems (National Instruments is a plus)</li><li>Experience with MATLAB and Python</li><li>Demonstrated project execution experience</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of hands-on experience with electrical &amp; mechanical systems</li><li>Positive can-do attitude</li></ul>Bonus Qualifications:<ul><li>Ability to travel to test facilities</li><li>Experience with Battery Manufacturing</li><li>Hands-on experience wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision</li><li>Proficient in DO-160G, DO-311A, UN 38.3 or applicable test standards for test planning, setup, and execution</li><li>Experience with Chroma, Keysight, National Instruments, and/or other Test Systems</li><li>Experience with Environmental  test equipment</li></ul>At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
